Alas!!! The public is awakening!!! Since adding ethanol to our fuel, most vehicles are getting less mileage. In order to produce the same btu's of power, you need to burn nearly twice the amount of alcohol!!!
(an engine is essentially a heat pump) In racemobiles you can increase the timing and richen up the fuel mixture to compensate... On computer controlled vehicles you cannot.
