Having problems with your 2003 Volkswagen Jetta TDI ?

I just bought a 2003 jetta 2 days ago and yesterday I noticed it has the light on that shows there is a car door open.I checked all doors and it still stays on. the light only shows up when there is a key in the ignition and the car is turned on.....what should i do?

Try spraying some WD40 or electrical cleaner on the door light switch with the ignition off. Press the switch in and out a few times. Wait about 30 minutes and the then see if the problem is solved. If that does not work the switch may be defective. Most of the time this will solve the problem.
Probably just one of the door switches are faulty, or door needs adjustment. With windows down, doors closed, key in, and on, try walking around car and push in where door latch area is, and see if light goes out when any particular door is pushed in. If you find one, then either switch needs replacing, or door needs to be adjusted, but either way, if it's going to cost you too much time, or any money, I would expect that when you go back to where you bought it, that soon, they would gladly fix it for you.
