Having problems with your 2003 Suzuki Aerio ?

My mother drives(as the second owner) an 03 Aerio SX AWD and with 70K+ it has treated her well for the last 4 years. However in the last week the "service engine soon" light has come on. Initially I just thought that she may have gone over the mileage for her next oil change, but when I checked the dip-stick it was nearly bone dry. The mileage for the previous oil change had been 67K and with 72K showing on the odo, how do 5 quarts of oil vanish in 5K? I have not seen any smoke coming from the e

Why does there need to be some underlying problem.
\015\012It maybe leaking while driving, so you do not see oil anywhere.
\015\012Regular oil checks are required of any car, new or old.
\015\012Did you add oil and see how low it was?
\015\012If it was 1-2 quarts low it maybe alright.
\015\012Add oil, run car for a few days and check it again.
