Having problems with your 2003 Honda Civic ?

Anti lock brakes

\015 My insurance company wants evidence that my 2003 Honda Civic has anti lock brakes. I don't have the owner's manual, let alone the sticker on the window.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-09-2017

Show them the ABS module, it's on the left hand side of the engine bay. Look for something that looks like an aluminum block with 6 hard lines coming from it. It doesn't say ABS, but does have LF/RF/LR/RR on it. (At least it's like that on my 2003 Civic Si)
Often the vehicle's VIN number will have a digit that indicates whether you have ABS or not, and they can enter your VIN number to see whether you do. I'm surprised they didn't try this, but it may not be the case with Honda. If you have ABS, there will be a wheel speed sensor at each corner of the car, plugged into the wheel hub. You could check for that.
