Having problems with your 2003 Ford Focus ?

The thermostat goes up to max when you are going about 63 miles per hour and above.water pump and all other items have been checked and are ok.,it only happens when you are on gas. The engine sensor and themostat have also been changed. The only thing that has happened, i had a new cambelt fitted and noticed afterwards that for some reason had run out of valve lubricant, so i have sent for some more, could this be the problem

Answers :

It sounds like you have a partial blockage in the cooliing system if it stayes at regular operating temperature at lower speeds. Placing it in first or second gear and driving at hiway speed RPM's will cause the the same temperature problem if this is the case.
