2003 crown vic multi switch
\015 Hello Friend! Couple 2003 passenger crown vic questions for ya if you don't mind:I think the multi switch needs to be changed for my windsheild wipers. It won't spray. I had a friend check the pump and there was power to it. Can you tell me how to remove that?Door problems: Lights wont go out. Checked for open doors, checked and lubed the inside closing mechanisms, but the light still wont go out!! I dont the think the switch is bad.. Is there a way to disable the mechanisms so they dont know whether door is open? My lights are not very bright and i have changed my notorious lighting control module under the dash before. Brights and that still come on but no brightness!Any help would be super appreciated. Thanks man!My email is [email protected] will post this in a thread tooTHanks!\015
If there was power to the washer pump and its not working, it means the pump itself has gone bad. the dome light problem sounds like a door jam switch gone bad. unplug one by one until you find which one shuts the light off, then either replace it or leave it disconnected. if your headlights are dull, i would check the voltage going to them. if the voltage seems ok, i would look for a weak or corroded ground. could also try replacing bulbs. good luck!
The door jam is the area that the door closes into. Look for a plunger switch that pushes in about a 1/2 inch or so usually at the front part of the door jam. I saw one car that had a whole worn in the sheer metal on the door. Good Luck!!!
