Having problems with your 2003 Dodge Dakota Club Cab ?

Looking for some assistance on replacing my serpentine belt on a 2003 dodge dakota (v6/3.7L). I'm not sure where the tension pulley is (left front facing engine?) and want to make sure I ''tighten'' the right one to get the belt off since it looks to be an autotension based pulley system. Any confirmation or diagrams would be of great help.

Answers :

The tensioner pully is the one that's mounted to an arm, with a square hole to put the 3/8" drive of your ratchet into. Consult the diagram by the hood latch to identify the other pullies, i.e. power steering, a/c, alternator, that should narrow it down for you. It's basically the only pulley not directly attached to a component.
