2003 dodge caravan 3.8 Liter with a Map Sensor Problem

\015 I've got a 2003 dodge caravan, 3.8L, with the check engine light on. The code I'm getting is PO108. It's a 3 wire map sensor. \015\012\015\012With the map unplugged, I have two 5-volt wires and one 12-volt ground. This doesn't seem right. Shouldn't I just have 1 ground, one 5 volt and nothing on the other wire, because that's the signal to the ECM?\015\012\015\012Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.\015\012\015\012-- Ron\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-11-2017

Answers :

You are right you should only have one 5v. reference The other wire shares same signal from the up stream o2 sensor.I have seen the o2 short out and cause this problem .It sounds like you know what your talking about.Map sensor circuit short to volts on o2 sensor circuit.BAD o2 or wire circuit problem. If you have more questions just ask :)
