I have a 1998 Buick Century and recently my temp gauge was spiking close to the red. It never actually overheated and after pulling the vehicle over for a few minutes the thermostat opened up draining my radiator as well as reservoir. Now that I have changed the thermostat the issue has gotten worse. Still a spiking temp gauge along with now the heater blowing cold air. The water pump was replaced September of 2011 and no drainage on passenger floorboard eliminating heater core error. Any ideas
