Having problems with your 2003 BMW 330 ?

My aircon/heating fan just stopped working, is this a common problem, are the fans prone to failure / are they expensive to fix or replace?

I have an 01 330ci and a similar thing happened to me... The dealership indicated that they have only ever replaced a handful of actual fans in these cars (and that they're tucked down deep in the dash...) but my issue was what they referred to as the "final stage unit." It was this bulky multi-pronged metal plug that went in behind the glove box. I believe it only cost me about $80-$90 from the dealership last summer. And I think only an hours labor from the mechanic I used.

I have a chrysler 2002 3.8L T&C. The radiator fans are not coming on all the time and sometimes the engine gets a little on the warm side. It hasn't overheated yet but we did stop driving it until we get the problem fixed. To fix the problem I first replaced the temperature sensor located on the firewall side of the thermostat. This did not fix the problem. Next I replaced the fan relay located on the steel bumper between the plastic bumper and the radiator. The fan still does not come on

Strut problem I have a Volvo 2004 S60 Turbo. Have taken my car in three times, with the last time being very expensive, to stop a popping noise around the front left wheel. They felt sure everything was fixed but now it is again popping. Is a bad strut system dangerous? Also, my radio won't turn on at times, and a fan was replaced in the dash in front of the passenger seat. I was told it was bad fan but about every ten seconds I hear what sounds like a scratching noise. Or a "urrgg" noise. If I

Fixya has no Mercury link so I'm trying Ford. I have a 2002 Merc Grnd Marq (same same Crn Vic) with AC problems. 1st, I replaced the fan motor control and that fixed that problem. Next I took the GM to a mechanic to have the fuel pump replaced. When I got the GM back the AC does not go on and the fan goes on high with nothing but heat and I cannot stop the heat without shutting the whole climate control off. Any help?

2004 Jaguar XJ8 with 60,000 miles. A/C was working intermittently, so took to dealer to fix. They found a "leaky" o-ring, replaced it, and recharged the system. No other problems found. Problem still exists intermittently. As soon as I turn the A/C on the radiator fan runs and continues to do so even after I have been at highway speeds. After turning A/C off the fan shuts down within 15 seconds. Engine temp is fine. At times, the A/C compressor shuts down entirely.

I have an Audi A4 Wagon (2006). My car was taken in when the oil pressure light kept coming on. The repair shop recommended that I replace the oil pump (very expensive). That didn't fix the problem. I later found it was the CVV and have since repaired that. Would it have been dangerous for me/my car to go with this unfixed? I am seeking some sort of resolution here, as I believe my car was misdiagnosed, and I was charged an egregious amount to replace the oil pump when that was not the problem.

The only thing it would have done is run rough. And get worse as you went, but it would have taken time. I don't know what you are going to do about the oil pump, but they never go bad, I have never replaced one, I would have been looking else where ... 2006 Audi A4

I am working on my 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier Coupe, 2.2 4 cylinder engine. I am having a few problems with it. About July i paid to have my radiator fan replaced, which was replaced with a used one off the same type of vehicle. Now, it's not working again, and the car is hotter than normal. Although it doesn't get to the dangerous red line on the temp gauge, im still a bit worried. The next thing i am having problems with, supposedly, is the rack and pinion.
