How do I put in transmission fluid in a volkswagon 2002 passat?

Answers :

This car has no dip stick. The car must be lifted on a level surface. Make sure you get the correct fluid. The temperature of the fluid should be at 99 degrees F, a drive around the block should do, or an infrared thermometer can be used to check the temp through the check window, after removing the rubber plug. The fluid should be topped off at this temp by injecting it through a vaccum pump. A small hand pump is fine. Too much and it will spill out. If filled when cold, it will expand and cause damage to gaskets. Replace plug, and ready to go.

If it is an automatic transmission, you will use a funnel in the tube where the dip stick is,
if it is a manual transmission, you will need to remove plug in side of transmission and put a squeeze tip on the container to add it.
