Indicator lights for oil ABS, etc., won't turn off in 2000 Pontiac Montana. Tried the turn ignition on, push accessorator pedal to floor thing others had mentioned and it didn't help unfortunately. Any ideas? I just had an oil change and brakes checked and everything was good. Thanks!

Check gages light turns on and doesn't go off. Already had the oil changed, the oil pressure needle keeps marking 0. It had the same problem once but I changed the oil and kept working fine; then about 2 months after that oil change the oil pressure needle started to drop again, so I changed the oil once again, kept working ok, and since that oil change it only has been less than a month, and the oil pressure needle dropped to 0, and the check gages light is on

You should have run the engine with the rocker cover off to make sure it is pumping oil up top. Not sure what you have for a oil light, pressure light, or analog gauge, showing pressure in pounds, but either way, it has nothing to do with oil level, ... Pontiac Sunfire

I took out the transmission plug and started my 1998 Pontiac Sunfire to check transmission oil and it poured out until there was no more coming out. Does this mean the transmission is now empty of its oil and I need to replenish it or does this mean the previous owner over filled it. From what your instruction were on checking, I was to remove the plug and start it until running at operating temp. but it ran out all over as soon as I started it???

It was definitely overfilled. A little should come out.If there is still a little coming out you should be ok. If not you may want to add a 1/4 quart or so just enough to where its starting to come out again at operating temperature. ... Pontiac Sunfire
