Heater problem The heater only works on high speed setting. Any ideas ????

The blower motor resistor is faulty.
\015\012
\015\012On high speed, battery voltage is directed right to the motor.
\015\012For any other speeds, battery voltage runs through the resistor pack (in any of 3-4 ways) to reduce voltage and slow the motor down.
\015\012
\015\012The resistor is located (screwed in) inside the heater duct or box somewhere where cold air always contacts it (before the heater core) because it becomes hot and would melt if it wouldn't be constantly air cooled.

2001 Pathfinder LE - Fan made a chirping noise about three days ago on high, then worked fine low-high either setting it Manually or via the Auto mode, that is until today. Now neither the automatic setting or manual setting makes a difference in the fan speed. All the "visual" indications of fan speed seem to work on the panel but the the fan runs extremely slow if at all. This is the opposite of most problems like this where the fan speed is stuck on high. Could it still be the fan control a

The heater fan won't work in my 2000 Oldsmobiel Intrigue. The low settings on the fan initially stopped working then high settings stopped working also. This all began after I had water to leak into the passenger side floor board. What is the problem, the blower resistor, the module or the blower motor. How do I check out the problem. What wires do I check and where are they located? Where can i find wiring schematics?
