Having problems with your 2002 Ford Explorer ?

Just replaced battery and back brake light stays on...any ideas?

Check your brake light switch for continuity. This switch is located on the brake pedal and is supposed to close when the pedal is pushed down. Unplug it and check the switch with an ohm meter.If the resistance is zero or close to it with the pedal up,the switch is bad. Also look at the lights to see if they are out with the switch unplugged. If the lights are still on there is power feeding in from another circuit. If this happens,send me a post and we can go from there. Hope this helps,Chuck.
