Having problems with your 2002 Dodge Neon ?
I have a 2002 neon everything. I was recently driving and I noticed all the lights on my factory cd changer were blinking, no CDs would eject, is there anything I could be doing to troubleshoot or fix this BESIDES replace the POS
Unfortunately, my experience with the factory multi disk changer is no. Sometimes it is a matter of disconnecting and reconnecting to get it to a point where the system will eject the CD's. The problem actually appears to be a dust build up in the changer itself over time. It was only designed to work for about 5 years so you are well beyond that. My son was able to remove it and open it up and clean it out and got one to work for about 2 more years but in the end he ended up replacing it. Typically the gears that work the disk ladder inside jam up and cause it to fault out as the drive motor gets weak over time. In most cases to get your disk back you are going to have to open it up and manually cycle to each disk and remove it. Sorry, no really good news.
I had the same problem with my 00 dodge neon 4 cd disk changer...take the 3 screws out of the top, take the 4 screws out of the front sides that hold on the face. remove the top and face. If you have a really small screw driver take the 4 micro screws out of the shiny metal cover in the front. if not do what i did...stick your pinky finger down into the changer and wiggle the stuck CD up and down until it slides forward and out the slot. do this with each stuck CD. put it back together and it should work. I think the problem has something to do with the battery being dead or getting disconnected with cd's in the changer.
