Having problems with your 2002 Dodge Intrepid ?

Leaking red fluid

\015 There is a part under the hood toward the front of the car that is leaking red fluid does anyone know what could be the problem or at least what part that is?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-12-2017

Answers :

The red fluid is transmission fluid, check the transmission fluid level, if it get's to low the transmission will burn out and your looking at a expensive job.\015\012
\015\012The fluid could be leaking from the transmission cooler line to the radiator in front of the car. Have it repaired and keep an eye on the fluid level to the transmission. Note: transmission fluid is flammable and may catch fire if slashed on to any hot area's like the exhaust.\015\012
\015\012Good luck and hope this helps.
Seems to be trans oil cooler... might be a hose or the cooling radiator has taken damage from stone/rock.
