Having problems with your 2002 Chevrolet Express ?

I need to remove the oil pan from my 2002 chevy express van with the 4.3 liter motorI have removed the stater and the trans line and the pan bolts. the oil pan should be free but it appears to have dowl pins in the trans housing?

Request torque spec for oil pan bolts on a 2001 Bonneville SE 3.8? It is leaking oil--appears to be coming from left rear corner of the oil pan gasket area, so want to re-torque pan bolts to see if that fixes it. Thanks much. Ted

I cant get the oil pan to drop on my 1998 4.3 chevy 1500 pick up. I have pulled all of the bolts on the oil pan and removed the starter and the oil filter housing. It will drop about a quarter inch in the front with some prying and the back can be pryed out obout an eighth of an inch. What am i missing?
