It depends on if it is a manual or automatic transmission. For the \015\012manual transmission, there is a 17mm allen plug in the side of it. Crawl\015\012 under car and take the plug out. You can buy a fluid pump for about $20 at \015\012an autoparts store and the 17mm allen wrench is about $10 at sears. It \015\012is pretty easy on the manual transmission.

you cannot put the transmission fluid in by yourself you have\015\012 to take it either to a V.W. dealer or someone who services these types \015\012of transmissions the fluid has to be pumped inif you notice there is no \015\012dipstick to check the fluid level thats because they use this probe the stick \015\012into your transmission to see how much fluid you have the probe \015\012costs about $1500 dollars expensiove yes keep in mind it will cost about\015\012 $20 a quart
Check on level surface with warm engine at idle and running, pull dipstick out, wipe with lint free cloth, re-insert and quickly remove to read level.Must be within the marks shown.
