Can not remove the alternator on my 2001 Santa Fe The main pivot bolt at bottom of alternator seems to be long and can't be pushed back through the hole in alternator base enough to allow the alternator to drop down and be removed. There is a bar that is bolted on the frame underneath the starter on my 93 buick roadmaster and I can't seem to get to the nut of the bolt that holds the bar to the frame. I can turn the bolt head because it's right there but the nut is spinning and I can't get to it because it's in the frame.

My belt tensioner pulley broke at the bolt that bolts to the bracket. I bought a new one and I was wondering if there was an easier way to replace the tensioner pulley other than removing both the upper alternator bracket and the belt tensioner pulley bracket which is also what holds the lower portion of the alternator.
