Having problems with your 2001 Honda Accord ?
Honda Accord V6 2001 105,000 mile\015 Thank you!. Just called another Honda dealership and they quoted $1,500. At first they quoted me $89.99 for a regular 105,000 mile service without even mentioning plugs, belts. Then when I brought those items up, service person started adding on and on and on. I think I'll stick with my first estimate. Thanks much!\015
No problem, and I'm glad it could help:) You might even consider having the belts and water pump done at a shop, plus the coolant flush and fill, but leave the oil change, air filter change, and new spark plugs for yourself. You can buy all of those parts at an auto parts store very inexpensively (much less than a dealer will charge you), and with a handful of basic tools, you can do all of that labor yourself in an hour or two. If you're interested in this, let me know on here, and I can give you more info on what is involved.

I have a 2000 Honda Accord with 183,000 miles on it the transmission just started to hessitate before shifting into 2 and 3rd gear. I was told this is common in the Accords and they have a non-recall from Honda, but mine has to many miles. I was also told the problem is caused by the torque converter. If this is true I would replace that, but what to be sure before doing all that work for not.
With that mileage I would find an additive for the transmission. Ask you parts store for the bestt. I cannot mention products by name but there are additives that are quite effective. Might save you some time and give you a chance to dump the car. ... 2000 Honda Accord

I have a 2002 Honda Accord SE with around 119k miles. The timing belt and water pump were replaced around 100k miles at a Honda dealership. The check engine light comes on and stays on for a day or two and then goes off. My mechanic says it could be the sensor, electrical or something else. No way to really tell for sure until the light comes on and stays.
Your mechanic is exactly right.theres really no way of knowing which component is going bad, unless that light is on. thats the only time the code reader will tell which sensor it is,and you can spend a fortune replacing sensors and may still miss the ... 2002 Honda Accord

2005 Honda Accord, 80K miles, (have not test driven it yet myself) daughter describes the problem as transmission slipping, car will not get above 25 MPH. Check Engine light came on a few days ago, unknown if that is related. If I remember correctly, Honda does not have a transmission filter, just change the fluid. Owner's Manual says at 120K miles, but I know daughter has probably driven under "harsh" conditions. Plan to start with a test drive, change transmission fluid, any other suggestions?

I have a 2008 Accord with 24,000 miles and have been told the back brake pads need to be replaced. When I called my dealer, I was told that Honda knew there was a problem but did not know what was causing the excessive wear. Honda will only assit clients with less than 20,000 miles. I am being asked to pay to have the pads replaced with no diagnosis of the problem. Anyone have any additional info or assistance?
Yes, your vehicle needs to use the semi-metal brake pads. \015\012\015\012Asbestos has been the best brakepad material; however, asbestos was outlawed last decade. Currently, the best is brakepad is semi-metal. The brakepa ... 2008 Honda Accord

Last year, I replaced both O2 sensors for the front and back but stil the same issue. I always put premium tires and drive less miles as you see the total mileage on the car. I need experts comment on how to fix this issue.
Make sure the air filter is clean. Have a diagnostic scan done to the engine to see if there are any trouble codes or issues that would reduce your gas mileage. You are getting around 11 or 12 miles to the gallon, which isn't very good. ... 1998 Honda Accord
I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX-V6 with 128,000 road miles. The dealership is telling me that I need a new transmission. This will be my 4th transmission if I follow thru with this. Honda Corporation told the dealership that they will only agree to pay half of the transmission costs becauses it's over the extended warranty. 2000 honda accord with 111000 miles. About 3000 or 4000 miles ago I was starting to get excessive road noise coming from the back axle area. I thought tires, but with the new set on there, the noise is the same. It really only gets bad from 45 mph to roughly 60 mph or so, then it goes away. Frustrated, because the noise is so loud that you can barely talk to the person in the passenger's seat. Based on the other posts, I was thinking bearings. Thoughts?
My thoughts exactly. Could also be an alignment issue (rear). It could be as simple as poorly balanced tires. Take it to a trusted mechanic. BTW: Just passed 125K on my EX. ... 2000 Honda Accord

Hi:\015\012Boy, you have a low mileage car!\015\012\015\012I would think that you would not need much done, if the timing belt was just changed, but perhaps your transmission servicing should still be done, as that would not have be ... 1994 Honda Accord
