Global 1207 is right. It's\012 your blend door actuator which is sticking. Probably the plastic teeth \012on the cog inside are worn. It is white plastic and is located behind \012your radio. It controls the opening of your blend door from A/C (closed)\012 to heat (open). Buy a Ford Windstar radio removal tool from any parts \012store (less than $10.00) remove the radio. You will then have access to \012the actuator. At the bottom right you will see a little plastic wheel \012with an indented square. Find a long flat head screwdriver that wil fit \012diagonally into the square and turn it clockwise slowly. The blend door \012should pop open and heat will enter the cabin. Finally when you have the\012 time replace the unit. They sell for about $75.00 at the dealer or \012cheaper elsewhere. Good luck. This worked for me.
The lack of flow of coolant through the heater core may result in poor warming inside the car. Flushing out the heater core may help. If not, replace it. Check the heater valve too. Good luck.
