Having problems with your 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI ?

A few weeks ago I noticed that the drivers head light had burned out. I replaced it, but never checked to see if it was fixed. A few nights later I noticed it was just barely burning again. I figured I must've touched the bulb with my bare fingers, so I replaced it again. After replacement I checked it. Same problem, just barely burning. Can you give me some idea where to start? Thanks, Eric

Answers :

This is a poor ground connection to the bulb or to the unit. Since the main battery + is coming in the bulb glows but it idoes not receive a good negative which has to come from the ground of the car. So have the ground wires taken out , cleaned and fixed back.
