Answers :

There is a plastic cap facing the front of the car on the gearbox. this must be removed in order to fill autotrans fluid.
\015\012it is important though to ensure that the trans needs oil.
\015\012this is established by getting the car to running temperature and running the gears from Park to 1st a couple of times, then remove the screw on the bottom of the trans sump. a small very amount of oil should spill , about 20/30ml. if more than this comes out then the oil level is adequate.if only a small amount comes out then you should top up until the oil spills from the hole.
\015\012this must be done with the engine running. and ensure you use the OEM recommended oil for VW.
\015\012ensure the car is in park and wheels chocked. please be safe!!!!
\015\012run the gears form park to 1st and back to park a couple of times.
