Having problems with your 2000 Nissan Maxima ?

Possible tranny slippage

\015 I have 2000 Maxima with 136K miles. Recent issue is when I drive highway at 70 MPH for a least 100 miles (running AC) and it's summer time at 90+ degrees the RPMs jump up and the speed goes down ... fells like tranny is slipping. I then turn off AC unit and reduce speed to 50 MPH .. after 15-20 miles the RPMs & speed go back to normal. Could this be a heating issue? The heat gauge shows normal & no overheating in radiator. \015\012This is a recent issue.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-12-2017
