Having problems with your 2000 Audi A4 ?

2000 Audi A4 Quattro Passenger Side Power Window...

\015 ...stopped working. Only the passenger side. Not a big deal to me for now since winter is right around the corner, but still a future concern at the very least. Any ideas?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-12-2017

Ok you have either one of two main problems with it.
\015\0121. does it go in one direction only then jams the other way?
\015\012Ans. the plastic clips that hold the window to the lifting rail can break.
\015\012these can be replaced by removing the door trim & replacing though you will need torx type tools.
\015\0122. As with vw golfs & passets the motors pack up or even the wire can break on some of them.
\015\012Ans. replace the motor unit in the door or the cable & rail.
\015\012
\015\0123. It is heardly heard tell of but the only other problem is that one of the wires in the hinge area to the door has broken.
\015\012
\015\0124. we have had this one a few times but this would also include the interior lights & central locking not working as well as the windows.
\015\012The central convenience unit under the passenger foot well can go wonky & needs to be replaced, usually caused by water coming in through the heaters air filter when the water is trapped in the front of the car ( caused by rotten leaves stuck in the drain points & also happens to the A6 models )
