Having problems with your 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class ?

When transmission is warm up there is no power ONLY in reverse gear unless building up pressure by pushing gas.

This sounds like a maintenance issue which could cause further high dollar issues. Have the transmission looked over by a trusted transmission technician. You will probably want to have the filter and fluid changed and the cooler flushed out. Once this is done and has been taken on a lengthy test drive(15 - 20 miles), I suspect you will find a vast improvement in the shifting quality and timing. On these cars, it should be a fluid movement between shifts and appear seemless to the driver. Perform these tasks first and let me know if you need further advice.
Is there a CEL on or any service codes coming up?

Thanks!!
