Having problems with your 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan ?

Van won't stay running unless i give it gas. It clacks very loud and has little power. Brakes are hard to press down and stop. Runs rough and white smoke comes out the exhaust.

Answers :

Head gasket has failed and your engine from what you have described will need to be replaced, the clack and no power indicates that your crank shaft bearing has slipped and your you have low oil pressure now throughout your engine. \012
\012Oil pressure is created by the crankshaft bearing and for you to have to push hard on your brake peddle to stop also indicates that your engine is low on vacuum caused by a blown head gasket. \012
\012Thank you for using fixya and sorry for the bad news that a new engine is called for to fix this issues.
