Having problems with your 1999 Dodge Caravan ?

I have a 99 dodge caravan with the 1494 code. How much gas do I need to keep in the van to trick that code

\015 First I had a code 108. I replaced the MAP sensor then I had the 1494 code and the 108 was gone. I was told if you keep so much gas in the tank the code will go off. Do you know how much gas? Also where is the Leak Detection Pump located on the caravan?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-12-2017

Answers :

A P1494 is for the Leak detection pump solenoid circuit fault. No amount of gas in the tank will "trick" the PCM for that fault. The fault is related to the actual wiring. A problem exists in the wiring, the pump, or in the PCM itself. Diagnostics would need to be performed to determin which is at fault. The LDP is located underneath the van just behind the transmission and underneath of the rack and pinnion.
