Having problems with your 1999 Chrysler 300M ?

Chrysler 300m engine knocking after replacing plugs and wires??

\015 I am looking at buying a 1999 Chrysler 300m the car is in immaculate shape but...the lady that owns it now says that she took it to midas because it was running a little rough. They changed the plugs and wires but they told her that engine still has a small "knocking sound to it". She wants $1900 for it...It has 100,000 miles. My question is could the cylinder still not be firing making the engine knock sound? Could it possibly be a coil pack? Is it worth buying it at that price even if I have to replace the motor in a couple of months?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-09-2017

Absolutely NOT, to many unknown miles, if you are dead set on it, at least take it somewhere and have a compression test done and do this in person! you can buy that car all day long at dealer auctions from 400 to 800 dollars, a new, or used engine and the labor will be in the four figures, using professional people, the old saying is, if it sounds to good to be true then it most likely is! take your time and at this time in or world i know you will find something that will give you much more and better service, hope we helped, and good luck to u..
