Investigate your oxygen sensor. When it fails it causes your car to run rich which would kill the engine after running for awhile. If there is some one who could come and read the codes on the car would help isolate the problem. Some places will do t ... 1990 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight

I have a 1983 280zx Bought a year ago. Always ran like a dream till early this week. As I was driving and car was good and warm it started to stutter on acceleration after stops. I got to my destination and turned car off not thinking too much of the acceleration stutter. After 10 mins I went to start car, it turned over started and stuttered pop and chugged then stalled out...it would not start again until it was totally cooled down. I replaced fuel filter, coil spark plugs and wires. It then r

Acceleration problem When the car is warm there is problem trying to accelerate. It sputters and shakes and in some cases it stalls out. It runs fine at idle speed. When I give it gas nice and slowly there is no problem with the motor but the minute that I give it more gas at a faster rate it starts to sputter and hesitate. Many people have been saying fuel filter, but this situation only happens once the car gets to a warm temperature. When I first start the car there is no hesitation on the ga

Car hesitation Hello. I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring, automatic transmission. 75,000 miles. Last month I had a local technician give my car a tune up with new spark plugs, air filter, etc. My car was running fine until about 2 weeks ago. When I came off the expressway, my check engine light came on and my car would hardly accelerate. It was jumping, hopping, and just did not want to accelerate. If I pushed the accelerator very slowly, it would accelerate but would take about a minute to reach 50

2000 gsr,1.8l,runs good when cold, after it is warm, when you put a load on the engine, car wants to buck and carry on,if you dowshift a gear or two to get the revs up,the car will usually recover and run fine.also if at idle you quicklypush the accelerator to the floor, the car will not rev, just stutter and will die if held to the floor too long, but if you accelerate slower the car will rev properly, fuel pressure is 42psi and jumps to 50psi when you hit the accelerator, also new plugs, wires, cap & ro

This car has just started hesitating. The problem is most noticible during sudden hard acceleration from a stop. The engine actually feels like it is running rough short 1 cylinder for a second or two and then full power resumes. The car has good pep at all speeds except hard sudden acceleration from a stop. Punching the gas and releasing to quick rev the engine in neutral also produces a slight hesitation some times. I've changed the fuel filter and air filter and am running gumout injector cle

Car hesitation I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring, automatic transmission. 53,000 miles. My engine light is on and will not go off. Sometimes the car will hardly accelerate. It will jump with air type popping noise and bog down. If I pushed the accelerator very slowly, it would accelerate but would take about a minute to reach 40 mph. The next day, the car ran great again and the check engine light went off. It ran fine for about 4 days than the problems returned.

Throttle hesitation when I accelerate from an idle the engine hesitates, the farther I push the gas pedal, the more the hesitation. If I take it easy and keep the rpm's up a bit there is no problem and the engine runs smooth as it should. Problem is only acceleration from an idle or very low rpm's. If it had a carburator I would think accelerator pump. acts just like older car I had with carburator problems.
