Having problems with your 1999 Buick Century ?

BUICK CENTURY COLD AIR ONLY ON DRIVER SIDE

\015 INITIAL PROBLEM WAS COMBINATION OF 2 THINGS: HOT AIR ONLY ON PASSENGER SIDE WHEN COMMANDED FOR A/C (DRIVER SIDE DELIVERED COLD AIR CORRECTLY), PLUS AIR GOING TO WINDSHIELD/ MIDDLE / FLOOR ON BOTH SIDES, REGARDLESS OF WHERE I COMMANDED THE AIRFLOW. BUSTED VACUUM LINE UNDER HOOD FIXED THE AIR FLOW LOCATION PROBLEM. STILL BLOWS HOT AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE WHEN COMMANDING A/C. NOT ABLE TO LOCATE ACTUATOR/SOLENOID THAT CONTROLS WHERE PASSENGER AIR IS SOURCED FROM. SINCE I HAVE COLD AIR ON DRIVER SIDE, I ASSUME THERE IS A SEPARATE ACUATOR FOR BOTH DRIVER AIR SOURCE, AND PASSENGER AIR SOURCE. SHORTLY AFTER BATTERY WAS REPLACED BY MECHANIC (3 MONTHS AGO) DID THIS PROBLEM START. AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, ALL VACUUM CONTROL LINES GOING INTO/OUT OF "MANIFOLD" UNDER DASH APPEAR TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE, BUT I CAN ONLY VISUALLY SEE PORTIONS OF THEM. GLOVE BOX IS REMOVED FOR BETTER VIEW - DON'T REALLY WANT TO REMOVE ANY MORE OF DASH IF I DON'T NEED TO.....\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-09-2017
