Having problems with your 1998 Volkswagen Beetle ?

Fuel pump pressure

\015 Could you tell me what the fuel pump pressure should be on a 1998 vw beetle? I'm getting about 55LBS ,but car just starts and dies and won't rev up,however will keep running and rev up when I hand feed it gas with squirt bottle. already changed the filter. appreciate any help you can give me. p.s. \015\012The fuel Pressure for your Beetle. with 2.0 L.
\015\012Is 36 Psi. engine idling.
\015\012 43 to 55 engine off.
\015\012
\015\012If you Spray fuel in the throttly. and keep running.
\015\012But if Only start and die.
\015\012Check the factory alarm.
\015\012Check if you have the right KEY.
\015\012The KEY on this car use a CHP inside. to prevent the car to be start with out the right key.
\015\012If the key is BLACK and look like use chip.
\015\012Check the Red LIGHT on the driver door or cluster , if the light is Flashing the SYSTEM is activated try to desactivate with the KEY on the DRIVER door lock Cylinder. if the light goes off
\015\012Try to start the car.
\015\012If your car is not equipated with CHIP. see if the light is ON or OFF.
