I need to replace my temperature control on Cirrus 2000. I lost the heat, it only blows cold air. How hard is it to change the control? It worked fine until we tried to reach for the cigarete lighter cable to see why the lighter is not working. 1998 Jimmy with electrical controls for temperature. Replaced Themostat, Flushed heater core, replaced damaged vacuum lines. Vehicle produces heat to heater core but only luke warm interior temp. I have a 2002 GMC Jimmy and I have no heat coming out of the vents. I just replaced the thermostat but that wasn't the problem. I felt the 2 hoses that go into the heater core and 1 hose is hot and 1 hose is cold. I figured it maybe the temperature control knob but also could be the heater core plugged up. If 1 hose is hot and the other is cold you have a stopped up heater core.try back flushing the heater core.you can also pour draino into the heater core and let it sit for about 1 hour a then flush it out again and it should be ok.hope this helps. ... GMC Jimmy

I have a 93 lesabre. The air and heat controller has a mind of it's own. When a light is lit on the controller you have control of the functions. When no light is lit all you have control of is the temperature slide. I have replaced the controller and the new one (used)does the same thing. Does the air/heat have it's own computer and if it does...where is it located? thanks, Captain Jim
