Having problems with your 1998 BMW 318i ?

1998 BMW 318i No. 3 cylinder not firing.

\015 Car had been operating ok, and then taken off the road for 6 months, was started and run up to temp every week except last month.\012Now: Car starts easily and runs but no spark at No. 3 cylinder.\012\012Checked and replaced, spark plugs, plug leads, coil assembly (1-4 cyl),\012\012Checked: Compressions all 170 psi (dry), checked wiring from coil to ECU, had ecu out (bay was dry), checked connectors condition and continuity, checked ecu for dry solder joints (no corrosion but re-soldered anyway).\012Checked wiring to crackshaft sensor ok, sensor resistance ok.\012Any other suggestions? What other inputs can cut out just No. 3 cylinder?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 13-11-2017
