Having problems with your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT ?

Looking at buying a 1996 3000gt vr-4. noticed at idle it has low oil pressure. after test drive i think i heard a faint "knock" noise. to me it didn't sound like lifters. i have been reading things on the internet about "spun bearings". i am very paranoid at this point at spending money on vehicle then having to rebuild bottom/whole engine. any advice?

Answers :

Low oil pressure can be caused by worn oil pump or WORN BEARINGS!! The larger clearances reduce backpressure in system. Car may have 50K left in engine or less.
