Having problems with your 1996 Honda Accord ?

When I turn the key and hold it for my 1990 Honda Accord Lx it will run but as soon as I let go of the key the car stops running. I have been told that my fuel pump is going can it be something else.

Wow I had this same problem and it was a very easy fix...But it had nothing to do with the ignition like I thought. It was under the steering wheel...My (friend) Mechanic fixed it i less than thirty mins. The problem is under the hood somewhere. I don't know the exact part though, but believe me, once that's replaced-and for pretty cheap-it should work just fine
Man i recently bought a 1991 honda accord that was doing the same thing!!!to be honest with you its tricky.what i did was get the car going down the road then release the key and it would stay on,but there were times it would not.my honda is manual so when it would cut off i would pop my clutch and it would run fine.please do not replace your fuel pump that has nothing to do with such.you just need to play with it and drive it alot more that usual.trust me mine was the same way.was your car sitting for awhile?
