Having problems with your 1996 BMW Z3 Roadster ?

1996 BMW Z3 roadster : engine cutout, refusal to start again; how do I make sure that the car is not recognizing it's key (chipped keys without batteries), which I feel is the problem. How to cure this.

Will this car start when oushed as the key chip ecu start relay can be defective and this can be briged out at the ecu if the engine is cranking you do not have a key problem and will have to take the car to diagnosed on a computor
I beleive the only way to test this is to order a new transponder key from the factory. Don't beleive the tall tales on the internet of it costing 500 dollars and taking weeks to get here. I just got mine for $77 dollars, ordered it on a Friday, and it was here Monday afternoon. (they are being cut in New Jersey now, I beleive)
