Keypad door lock does not work..?

\015 My car has a keypad unlock code on the door but I can't seem to work the code. There are 5 buttons, each has two numbers on it (1-2)(3-4)(5-6)(7-8)(9-0),my code is 18839 and i can't get it to work. Is there a way to reset the code or change it? or am I doing something wrong? also my trunk will not pop with the key remote. and will not unlock or lock unless I'm 5 feet from the car.. which isn't a big deal but I know they usually work from a much larger distance.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 24-04-2017

It's in owner manual. But, first you have to enter your original code and it must work. then you press the 1 button and then enter a new 5 digit code, then press the 1 button again.
