Having problems with your 1995 Dodge Dakota ?

Dakota v6 has new heater core, thermostate, can hear blend door opening, and upper hose and both core hoses are hot but still no heat. dummy temp gauge looks like it might be reaching 160 range instead of 195..

Answers :

160 degrees should be hot enough to get some heat.
You could check the engine temp with a scanner to confirm.
I would double check the blend doors, and the temp of the coolant in and out of the heater core. I use an inferred temp gun.
