Having problems with your 1994 Chevrolet Suburban ?

We have had to replace our starter approximately 5 times-why is this, and is there something happening that we are missing?

I have had the same problem. What I have found out is that the exhaust runs right next to the starter solenoid. When it heats up it doesn't allow the solenoid to activate to engage the starter. I have been stranded for hours waiting for the solenoid to cool of and maybe it starts. Replace the starter with a mini high toque starter. They can be pricey depending on the brand but the solenoid is further from the exhaust and I havent had a problem yet. You may have to cut a small piece off the Positive terminal to get it to fit right. Hope this helps
When you remove the starter you have to turn the flywheel manually using a pry bar to check if you have any broken teeth on the flywheel if you do you have to replace the flywheel also check the ground cable that comes from the battery to the engine block.most of the times the ground cable comes loose and by it not getting good ground it burns out the starter let me know how it goes

I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata 4CL (interference engine) that broke down recently (no longer starting) and upon inspection, found out that the timing belt needed replaced. After taking the timing belt off, we found not only a lot missing teeth on the belt in general, but there is a large section that the teeth are all missing, which leads us to believe something may have jammed. Also, knowing that all of this happened while the car was in motion, the big concern is that the pistons may have been d

Key Error This is the second time that I have inserted my key in the ignition and have gotten a "Key Error Reinsert Key" message. The first time this happened was approximately 3-4 months ago (the car was still under warrantee: It is now 1 month out of warrantee) and the dealership replaced the whole ignition "box". Is there something I can do to get the car to work without bringing it in to the dealership?

Have a Toyota Camry Wagon 1996. It has a problem form time to time the enginejust cuts off. This is a full power failure as if the engine is turned off. It only happens at idle or taking off from a stop or near stop. There is no running on or engine missing. When the engine is running it sounds fine. We replaced the 'igniter' thinking this more likely than the Distributor. Before I start replacing more components can you give any advise?

A/C problem I recently replaced the water pump in my 91 loyale wagon (manual transmission), and when I got it all back together, the AC won't run. I know I must have done something wrong, but I can't figure it out. This has happened once before, when I had the timing belts replaced by a shop. AC wouldn't work. I took it back and they had it fixed rather quickly. They said they has just put something back together incorrectly. I sadly didn't have the foresight to ask them which part. Thank you!

Just replaced the starter a few months ago, and fuel pump and fuel filter are new, alternator is okay. The jeep is not cranking, it is not starting, all lights are working properly, battery and cables are all okay. The only other thing I can think of is the nss. Most of time it will start after a period of time, but this last time it will not start at all. Perhaps there is something I'm missing, and how could I pin point the problem better?

There is something wrong with the electrical system on this car. It happens mostly at night. The lights will flicker and go dim, the radio flashes off and on, the car sputters and sometimes dies, and it seems as though the entire electrical system has an intermittent short or open circuit. I have had it in the dealer's shop almost half-a-dozen times and each time they charge me money, but tell me they can find nothing
