I have a 1997 Ford Explorer. The wheels are steel with the crome covers pressed on the steel wheel. I seen today that all four wheels will need to be replaced because the rust buildup behind the cover. I removed the cover on one wheel and the wheel is a highway safety hazard. I am putting a 99 ford explorer tranny in a 98 explorer sport with the 4.0 sohc engine. the bolts match perfect and the torque converter from the 99 tranny lines up perfect with the fly wheel. when I go to tighten the tranny bolts the fly wheel does not turn.
