Having problems with your 1992 Dodge Stealth ?

I have installed a new battery in the 1992 dodge stealth that run before storing last winter. The lights don't even come on - interior-exterior and of course it doesn't start./ the new battery was tested on my Ford and starts that perfectly-. I then cleaned the battery cables. And got a sprak when I attached the negative cable. Do I need new cables or is there a short somewhere? What's the problem?

Answers :

Replace the battery cables if they havent been change in a while.check battery voltage it should be 12.5 volts.if you not getting interior and exterior lights.it sound like poor ground.make sure ground cable to engine is tight.
Clean all battery connections. Make sure ignition is off, light switch off, etc. connect the positve wire to positive battery post and then the negative. If spark is heavy, there could be a problem. If it is a tiny spark, finish connection and try to start. Let me know if you need more help.
