Having problems with your 1988 Toyota Pickup ?

It will run as long as you don't let it try to idle. You take your foot off the gas and it dies.Other than that it's fine. Has plenty of power, but has been sitting awhile. Stinks real bad when running.

Your Catalytic converter may be clooged. Can you describe the smell??? How many miles are on the engine? How long was this vehicle sitting??? Was there any other work done prior to this problem???
