\015 I'm buying a 88 Iroc-z Camaro.. It has 97000. mi on it. it has been parked for a year and a half. When I went to look at it, it started right up. The reason the owner parked it. After it warms up there is a small ticking sound when idling. What is that, and how do I fix it. And what advice do you have about keep it up being that it has been seating.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-09-2017

Answers :

That ticking is usually a loose rocker arm. Use a mechanic stethoscope and you will find which one needs adjusting or replacing. A push rod may be partially clogged and caused excessive wear. Older vehicles which have been in storage often have oil leaks and related. This happens if the vehicle has not been started on a regular basis. Nonuse causes seals and gasgets to dry and shrink so be aware and look for leaks.\015\012
