Answers :

Several possibilities. If the radiator takes coolant very slowly when filling, likely the core is partially plugged. Also make sure all fans are coming on when needed and that any mechanical clutch fan is locking when engine gets hot. Also check for any air flow obstructions in front of the radiator including between the radiator and a/c condenser and in front of or in the condenser fins (bugs packed in etc) Last, you may have a blown head gasket pushing compression into the cooling system. I'd worry about that last unless there is a lot of steam coming from the tailpipe, or have coolant in the engine oil.
