Having problems with your 1979 Chevrolet C/K 3500 ?

My fuel gage on a 1979 Chevy Cheyenne pickup doesn't work at all and I keep running out of gas. How do I fix it?

Answers :

This is normally caused by a faulty sending unit located in the tank. The only way to correct this concern is to replace the sending unit assembly. To do this you can either remove the bed to access the fuel tank, or lower the fuel tank itself. It's normally easier to remove the bed if you have a couple buddies...I hope I could help.....
Most likely replacing the sending unit in the fuel tank will solve the problem
